Since 1985, I have provided accurate and lively technical writing
and editing support to customers in industry, government, and non-profit
organizations.
I
started Return On Investment Technical
Communication
because everyone can benefit from
expert assistance in getting their message out to those who need to hear
it, even if they don't have an in-house technical communication
department.
An early entrant in the field of scientific and technical
communication, I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right
time to help define the profession. In addition to serving as the
writer and/or editor for dozens of books, reports, and journal
articles about software applications, environmental concerns, and
medical topics, I have written chapters for several academic textbooks
about technical communication and interdisciplinary scientific studies
and
taught university-level courses about health risk communication,
business writing, and public involvement.
